Arjumand Banu Begum (Mumtaz Mahal)

Arjumand Banu Begum (Mumtaz Mahal) (born in April 1593 in Agra; died on June 7, 1631 in Burhanpur) was married to Shah Jahan, the Great Mughal of India. Even during her lifetime, poets praised her beauty, grace and compassion for the needy. She died giving birth to her 14th child. Her tomb, the Taj Mahal, is a symbol of her husband's love.
