Gangama

The stone sculpture of the river goddess Gangama was carved from yellowish sandstone. The water goddess Gangama is depicted as an adorned woman with a lotha (water vessel), above whose head a cobra snake rises like a protective canopy. At the goddess's side is a servant; the kneeling lady is most likely the donor of the artwork.
