On the Backs of Camels
Camelids have been important companions to humans for thousands of years. Thanks to their ability to adapt to different and sometimes extreme weather conditions, they are a source of hope for millions of people from over 90 countries. This is why the United Nations has proclaimed 2024 as the Year of the Camelid. On our tour through the special exhibition On the Backs of Camels, we will take an in-depth look at the relationship between humans and camels in all its many facets.
The programme combines a themed tour with a coffee and the opportunity to taste camel milk chocolate from ‘Al Nassma’.
Tip: After the tour, attend the free screening of the multi-award-winning documentary film Alpaqueros in the presence of Swiss-Peruvian filmmaker Mercedes Lamborelle.
Duration: 90 min
Participation: € 9 (valid museum ticket required)
Tickets are available online or at the ticket office
