4 pm‘Darye’ – The Art and History of Tea and Tea Drinking in Korea
Interactive guided tour and tea ceremony
Start with a guided tour of the exhibition, which tells stories about tea consumption around the world, its spread and significance in everyday life and in a religious context – accompanied by stories about the objects on display and insights into the multifaceted tea culture of East Asia.
Then, during an adapted ‘Darye’, an informal tea ceremony of Korean origin, experience unique Korean tea in a relaxed and informal atmosphere and perhaps learn a little more about the cultural history of Korea, the Land of the Morning Calm.
