6.45 pm - Speeches by Jonathan Fine, Director of the Weltmuseum Wien & Mexican Ambassador in Austria Luis Javier Campuzano Piña
7 pm - Procession & performance of the dance group Ameyalli. The Mexican folklore dancers of the group Ameyalli, founded in 2019 and directed by Martha Martínez de Gilits, is dedicated to spreading Mexican dance culture. They show how families in Mexico prepare the altar of the dead, honor the deceased, and they present Mexican dances around Día de los Muertos.
8 pm - Inviting the dead to the altar. The characters known as Mojigangas by Stephany Daphne Rodríguez Cabañas dance a dance of the dead led by Hena Moreno Corzo. This demonstration turns into a performance in which all visitors* can participate! Experience a little muerteada and celebrate with us!
Come to the free workshop in the afternoon to practice the choreography with the Mexican dancer Hena Moreno Corzo!
