The Baby Comes Along!

Guided Tour – Women in the Collection

guided tour
60 min
Participation: € 6 (plus museum admission)

Lovable as a decorative feather was the unborn baby for the Aztecs. Quetzal feathers are also used to make the notorious ancient Mexican feather headdress – one of many interesting objects in the permanent exhibition at the Weltmuseum Wien. Take your baby with you and learn about some of the highlights of the museum’s collection while hearing stories of fertility, creation myths, and the miracle of new life. While inspiration, entertainment, and stimulation are not neglected, the needs of the smallest visitors are catered to – rocking, nursing, and swaddling are welcome; crying, whining, and giggling are allowed!

Carrying in a carrier is recommended, strollers are also allowed. Changing and breastfeeding facilities are available.

Tour in German language.
Duration: 60 min.
Participation: € 6
