adze

This adze (beliung batu) entered the museum's collection through the Genoese merchant and captain Giovanni Gaggino in Singapore. It dates back to the Neolithic era. A private letter states that it was found in 1894 during excavations in Perak, Malaysia. Judging by the letter, the hatchet was likely taken from a grave.
