Ritual card
Ritual cards are attached to a priest's forehead as part of his initiation; this enables him to make contact with the deity depicted for the first time. Only then is he authorized to use the cards independently for this purpose. By means of the card on his forehead, the deity depicted on it is personified in him and takes part in the ritual.
