Spießlaute

The Naga are not great instrumentalists - they know the jew's harp, the flute and various forms of lute, and some tribes also use simple drums. First and foremost, however, the Naga were and are singers. Musical instruments were used more for non-verbal communication.

Lute players liked to use their beloved's hair to make strings. Spit lutes, which were usually only played in the evening or at night, were part of a performance practice in the private sphere of individual small groups.
