The photograph of two wax figures created by the sculptor Carl August Söderman (1835-1907), dressed in traditional wedding costumes from Søndmøre, Norway, presenting a bride in the crown (in the left) and the groom (in the right). These sculptures were exhibited at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1867, in the Swedish and Norwegian sections. The photograph is taken against a backdrop of a plain screen or wall. On the floor the plate on which the dolls are standing can be seen. The photograph is black and white, hand-colored, and mounted on the branded passe-partout of the Eurenius & Quist studio.
