Whether you are a school class, tour group, club, or group of colleagues, a group visit to the museum offers the opportunity to discover our collections together. Here you will find all the important information you need about group registration, visitor rules, and helpful tips for planning and organizing your visit.

Plan your trip to the Weltmuseum Wien – without booking a guided tour. Please note that groups of 10 people or more must be booked in advance. Book your preferred date early to ensure a smooth visit.

Please register your group's visit without a guided tour at least 4 weeks before the desired date.

If you book a group visit, the admission tickets for your visit will be reserved and you will receive a booking confirmation.
 

Group sizes are limited to a maximum of 25 people in all our exhibitions.

Groups of 10 people or more must be registered.

Depending on how busy the museum is, larger groups will be divided up for admission and enter the exhibitions or special exhibitions at different times.

Visiting rules Please observe the following when visiting with children

  • Persons under supervision may not be left unattended in the exhibitions or special exhibitions.
  • Sitting on steps and window sills, staying in narrow places such as entrance areas or passageways, making noise and running in the exhibition rooms is prohibited.
  • Food and drink may not be taken into the exhibitions.
  • Other visitors must not be disturbed or hindered.
  • Exhibition objects may not be touched. Please also do not sit on them, use them as a shelf or lean on them.
