Bettina Leopoldo:

"...for storing water, most probably importet to Siwa....has been used by the father of Nahdi Howeyti, Omar, to collect a pottery made outside of the oasis of Siwa , probably on a wheel. I recall seeing similar forms when I visited El Kasr in the Dakhla oasis in 1981 and 1984. Nowadays plastic containers are brought to several locations where trucks bring water from a new spring at the east side of the Dakroor mountains. It is said, that the water contains many minerals."
