A 2009 research project concluded that most descriptions are factually correct and still usable; only a few details were found to be inaccurate or incorrect. The results of this project were published in the following collection catalog: khm-wmw-tm-library.on.worldcat.org/oclc/1457155265"528. Cotton roller - "Lelusang" A machine to crush the seeds of cotton. It is made of two small rollers half a "shoe" long, of hard wood which are fastened one above the other in a wooden frame so that they can be brought close together and then pulled apart again. At the side there is a crank with an endless screw by which the rollers can be set in motion. The cotton fibres containing seeds are pushed through the two rollers by hand whereby the fibres are freed from the seeds as the latter are crushed and fall away."Translation of: Czurda, F. A. J.
