Ganesha
19. Jahrhundert | René Nebesky-Wojkowitz
Originally feared as an evil-doing deity, in later Hinduism Ganesha developed into the patron of wisdom and art, who can remove all obstacles of a mental or physical nature with his enormous elephant power. As such, he is worshipped especially before embarking on new ventures. As he is also the patron saint of businessmen, his figure can be found in many stores and banks in India or Nepal.
