The farmer ploughs the field
I Lutung Maling Ketimun (Der Gurke klauende Affe)
ca. 1935 | Helene Potjewijd
Once upon a time there was a farmer named Pucung. He subsisted on his home-grown cucumbers, which he sold at the market. Wearing the straw hat of Balinese farmers, he looked after his beloved vegetables every single day. He cultivated the soil using a hoe and touchingly took care of his cucumbers.
