A 2009 research project concluded that most descriptions are factually correct and still usable; only a few details were found to be inaccurate or incorrect. The results of this project were published in the following collection catalog: khm-wmw-tm-library.on.worldcat.org/oclc/1457155265"532. Cotton cleaner - "Usorang"With this device the still-dirty fibres of cotton which hang together are pounded apart and cleaned, whereby the finer fibres collect at the top while the dirty, heavy seeds fall to the floor at the end. The device consists of a half-meter long bow of bamboo which is strung with an ordinary cord. This cord is snapped with a bamboo hook inside the basket containing the cotton fibres and in this way these are beat apart."Translation of: Czurda, F. A. J. (1883). Catalog mit Erklärungen der Etnografischen Privatsammlung des Dr. F. A. J. Czurda in Postelberg (Böhmen). (p. 137). Wien, Wilhelm Braumüller
