Keladi

ca. 1925 | Paul Schebesta

At Schebesta's time, the bow was already widely replaced by the blowpipe. The youth Keladi shows here the former use of the bow. Here one can clearly see how the quiver is stuck into the ground by means of a point designated for that end. The bowman is, therefore, not restricted in his movement, yet nonetheless can easily reach the arrows.
