This depiction of a couple on a slash-and-burn field won second prize in a painting competition a few years ago. The lady with the heavy basket is protected by a warrior as she walks across the fields, as she is supposed to return to her village in one piece. In this way, the old times are kept in memory. Unlike the pair of figures, the fields still look the same today.
