Ceremonial dao
20. Jahrhundert | Christoph von Fürer-Haimendorf
The Dao is the universal tool of the Naga. Various forms are used, from slashing and burning fields, slaughtering animals and killing enemies to household chores. Daos richly decorated with coloured hair testify to the prestige of the wearer as a successful headhunter and were not used as a tool or weapon.
