Sokoto

Airy flower power for a fashion-conscious gentleman, probably around 1980. Worn with a thigh-length shirt (buba) with narrow sleeves and a round neckline made from the same Vorarlberg embroidery fabric. The irregularly applied rhinestones are striking, as they were not glued at the time, but were set in metal frames whose claws were hammered into the fabric. A discreet fly is hidden in the centre front seam.
