Spiritual instruction
Lakon Parikesit Grogol
ca. 1935 | Helene Potjewijd
King Parikesit loves the hunt. In spite of all the advice of both of his servants, one night he secretly leaves his camp and meets the priest Sidiwacana. The priest offers spiritual instructions concerning the king's future. After his visit, Parikesit comes across a hermit deep in meditation, who completely ignores him. In anger over this, the king places a dead snake around his neck and shoots him with his arrow.
