The priest saves the animals

Tukang Mas yang Jahat

ca. 1935 | Helene Potjewijd

Once upon a time there was a famous priest. One day he uses a simple piece of cloth to save a tiger, a monkey, a venomous snake, and a goldsmith from a deep well into which they had fallen. In thanks, the goldsmith invites him to his house. On the way to the goldsmith's, the priest meets the tiger. The tiger had just killed the oldest son of the king, and he makes a gift of the prince's splendid clothing to the priest.
